Vale of The Red Horse Health Care Centres would like to welcome to the surgery Dr Ros Norton and Dr Carly Williams who both joined us in May. Dr Norton is available on Monday, Wednesday and Friday Mornings and Dr Williams is available on a Wednesday and Friday for both AM and PM appointments.
The surgery will also in the very near future be offering a 0 – 5 childrens minor illness morning clinic. This clinic will run for 1 hour from 9.30am on a Monday and Friday at Kineton and on a Wednesday at Tysoe. It will allow parents to ring up and get their young babies and children seen that morning without having to sit at the end of a morning surgery. If the clinic proves successful we may look to extend the sessions further. Please check our website and Facebook pages for the launch date and for other news on future improvements that we have from August for the surgery and the services we provide.
The Surgery and the Patient Participation Group are presently planning our next healthcare event. We are planning a Respiratory Disease (Asthma and COPD) Awareness session on the 10th October at Tysoe Surgery more details will be available in the summer.
Patient healthcare Notice
Be safe in the sun
Sun damage doesn’t just happen when you’re on holiday in the sun. It can happen when you’re not expecting it, for example when you go for a walk or sit in your garden.
Whether on holiday or at home, you can protect yourself by following the SunSmart messages.
•Spend time in the shade between 11am and 3pm.
•Make sure you never burn.
•Aim to cover up with a T-shirt, hat and sunglasses.
•Remember to take extra care with children.
•Then use factor 15+ sunscreen.
Report mole changes or unusual skin growths to your GP.
Always take special care of children’s skin. The best way to do this is to cover them up and keep them in the shade.
